Sometimes roads get washed out and customs unexpectedly holds things for weeks, but it's finally here!
We're super excited to be working with 4th generation coffee producer Diego Andrés Gómez. His farm is located outside the village of Acevedo in the Huila region of Colombia.
Diego and I met at the Producer Roaster Forum in San Pedro Sula, Honduras and since cupping it as a team, we've been wanting to get his coffees to our roastery.
This coffee truly is representative of a very high quality specialty coffee. We're roasting it as a light with a good development stage. It brings out the Orange and Green Apple with a good amount of acidity. Cheers! It was worth the wait!

LIMITED RELEASE

Last week I bought Black River from the Regional Market. I have to say. It is absolutely the best black coffee I have ever had. I hope it’s a regular edition that is available all the time. It’s so good. I’m definitely telling everyone I know to get it. Really. Not to overstate it, I was blown away.

Who do we partner with?
Tug Hill Artisan Roasters sources coffee both through importers as well as directly from farms. We really value these "direct trade" relationships. So much so that we've set up a whole page on our website where we talk about them!
Whether the farmers are practicing new and innovate pest control or fermenting coffee with unique yeast strains, we want to share and emphasize some of the wonderful people we've had the opportunity to work with over the years.
At Tug Hill Artisan Roasters, we recognize that the best we can do as roasters is being true to the intent of the farmers and processors. It's the knowhow to grow great coffee and hours put into its processing that sets specialty apart (obviously there's also the scoring). Let's put credit due where it deserves to be.

Running George is named after George Jacunski, Tug Hill's Running Blacksmith Legend. It's a fine Brazilian coffee that illustrates our approach to roasting a consistently great cup.
