Why do we travel to coffee producing countries? Someone once put it like this: if you want to find great tomatoes, you go to your local farmers market. If you want to find great coffees, you visit the coffee farms.
Back in March, Lydia, my (Scott’s) daughter and I, went to San Pedro Sula, Honduras for the Producer Roaster Forum. This is a coffee event hosted in coffee producing countries with the intent of linking coffee producers (Farmers) with coffee roasters. At PRF, Lydia and I met Adelmo and his son-in-law Harry. Adelmo and Harry help to manage the family farm.
Finca Terrerito is located in the Copan Department of Honduras. They work with all kinds of varietals of coffee and in addition to doing washed, also do naturals, honeys and anaerobics. This particular coffee is a naturally processed coffee. We were very impressed by the pleasant berry and softness of the cupping notes.
We hope you really enjoy this coffee. We look forward to working with more of Adelmo’s coffees in the future. If you’d like to learn more about Finca Terrerito check out their website at fincatcoffee.com.

LIMITED RELEASE

Last week I bought Black River from the Regional Market. I have to say. It is absolutely the best black coffee I have ever had. I hope it’s a regular edition that is available all the time. It’s so good. I’m definitely telling everyone I know to get it. Really. Not to overstate it, I was blown away.

Running George is named after George Jacunski, Tug Hill's Running Blacksmith Legend. It's a fine Brazilian coffee that illustrates our approach to roasting a consistently great cup.
