Here it is, Tug Hill Artisan Roasters' first Gesha!
For those unfamiliar, Gesha (or Geisha) coffee is one of the most sought after varieties in the world. Originating in the Gora Gesha Forest of Ethiopia, Geshas were rediscovered in Panama in the early 2000s and have transformed the specialty coffee scene.
Our release comes from Don Ricardo’s Finca Palmilera in Costa Rica. Ricardo has been growing coffee for over 30 years. In the late ’90s, he partnered with seven other smallholder producers to form a “mini-beneficio” or shared micro-mill called La Candelilla. For the last 10 years, Ricardo has worked as a consultant to other smallholder producers looking to create similar mills throughout Central America as well as Tanzania!
We are thrilled to have the opportunity to share Ricardo’s Gesha coffee with you!
