Pride of Tineco:
Origin: Honduras
Process: Washed
Altitude 4800-5000 ft
Varietal: Yellow Colombia
From San Agustin, Honduras, this coffee is representitve of Armando and Dublas' work in coffee. It's a nice washed coffee representative of the terroir. Some chocolate, caramel and dried fruit cupping notes are present
Guji Natural
Origin: Ethiopia
Process: Natural
Altitude: 5700-6200
Varietal: Heirloom
This coffee is from Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee as a beverage. It's representative of the natural process with a nicer blueberry and lemongrass present. Crazy fact, the ship this coffee was on was attacked by pirates while rounding Africa's Horn.
Gesha
Origin: Colombia
Process: Washed
Altitude: 4950-5200
Varietal: Gesha
The elusive "Gesha". This varietal of coffee is considered one of the best in the world. This Colombian Gesha is syrupy with a relative fruity body. Gesha plants produce one of the lowest yields in the coffee world and for a long time weren't appreciated. Now, because they fetch a higher price, farmers interested in higher end prices are producing more.
King Bourbon
Origin: Guatemala
Process: Anaerobic
Altitude: 6500ft
Varietal: Bourbon
King Bourbon is not a varietal. This is simply a very very large "Bourbon", more reminiscent of a "Maragogype" Roasting larger beans takes more effort to get a balanced body. Furthermore, this coffee is an anaerobically processed natural, so there was some interesting microbiology taking place.
